Women's hockey: Minnesota tops Ohio State
Amanda Kessel scored her 20th goal of the season, and second-ranked Minnesota beat Ohio State 3-1 in Minneapolis to sweep a two-game set in the Women’s Collegiate Hockey Association.
After the Golden Gophers (17-3-0, 11-3-0) opened a 2-0 lead, Laura McIntosh scored at 13:01 of the second period for the Buckeyes (9-7-2, 6-7-1-1).
Kessel’s third-period tally provided the final margin.
