The Big Ten named Ohio State senior guard Samantha Prahalis the conference player of the week today.

Prahalis averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and two steals while playing all 40 minutes in wins over Nebraska and Illinois. She captured the award for the second time this season and sixth time in her career.

In Sunday's 96-84 win over Illinois, Prahalis scored eight straight points for the 9th-ranked Buckeyes (19-1, 6-1) during a pivotal second-half run. She finished with 28 points and six assists.

On Thursday, Prahalis collected 19 points and 9 assists in an 82-68 win over then-No. 20 Nebraska. The New York native has 845 assists in her career, which is second in Big Ten history behind Northwestern's Nancy Kennelly (892).

The Buckeyes play at Indiana at 8 p.m. on Thursday (Big Ten Network) and at Minnesota at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Nebraska's Emily Cady was named freshman of the week.
