Ohio State football: Buffalo added to 2013 schedule
Ohio State announced today the addition of two opponents on future football schedules.
OSU will host Buffalo of the Mid-American Conference on Sept. 21, 2013. Plus, an existing series of games against Cincinnati also will include a game on Sept. 8, 2018, in Ohio Stadium.
The one-game commitment with Buffalo, which will receive $1 million, completes Ohio State's nonconference schedule in 2013. The Buckeyes will host Vanderbilt (Aug. 31) to open the season, with a home game against Florida A&M to follow (Sept. 7).
Game 3 in 2013 will send Ohio State on the road Sept. 14 against California. Ohio State's first-ever game against Buffalo is set for the following week.
The 2018 date against Cincinnati recently was agreed upon after an original date in 2012 was postponed last fall by mutual agreement. The teams also are scheduled to meet Sept. 27, 2014, in Ohio Stadium.
