• Matchup to watch: Pay attention to the free-throw line. The Buckeyes got there only six times in Thursday’s 66-65 loss at Illinois. The Boilermakers were 21of 29 in a 77-66 over the Illini last Sunday.
• Notable: Purdue leads the Big Ten by a half-game over Penn State. The Boilermakers had a week off after snapping a two-game losing streak with the win against Illinois. Sam Ostarello scored a career-high 21 points in the win. Purdue is holding opponents to a league-low 56 points per game. .... The Buckeyes have lost two of their past three games and are tied for third in the conference with Nebraska. Ohio State has surrendered 44 points off turnovers in the past two games. Ashley Adams has blocked 17 shots in the past three games. Tayler Hill leads the Big Ten with 65 three-pointers.
