I know this isn't about an Ohio State player, but you might recall the feature in The Dispatch before Columbus native Jamelle Cornley played his last game against Ohio State in Value City Arena last season. In it, he said pro football was an option he might check out.
Well, not anymore. Cornley had shoulder surgery after the season and told the Centre Daily Times he won't be fully healthy for three to six months. So football is out -- at least for now -- and basketball is back as his top priority.
Cornley has signed with agent Stu Lash, who also represents Cornley's former Brookhaven teammate, Ron Lewis, and will receive his degree from Penn State this summer after completing an internship.
