Big Ten football season is upon us, which in the Midwest (oh, and parts of the East Coast!) means more of the same caliber of mismatches we've watched in Weeks 1-4, something fans are supposed to ignore because now the routs will involve teams from the same conference.

>> Predict Ohio State vs. Indiana, plus other games

This week's picks (pickers listed alphabetically and certainly not in order of importance -- or expertise):

Rob Dewolf, BuckeyeXtra editor

Ohio State 41, Indiana 21: Play this game in December 2014 and the score might be 88-0. But because the Buckeyes are still finding their way in Week 5 of 2015, IU escapes with somewhat of a moral victory by keeping it respectable.

Minnesota over Northwestern
Nebraska over Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Alabama over Georgia
Tennessee over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Florida
Air Force over Navy
Clemson over Notre Dame
Stanford over Arizona

Bob Hunter, Dispatch sports columnist

Ohio State 45, Indiana 20: Buckeyes continue their slow climb back to the championship level.

Northwestern over Minnesota
Nebraska over Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Alabama over Georgia
Tennessee over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Florida
Navy over Air Force
Notre Dame over Clemson
Arizona over Stanford

Todd Jones, Dispatch college football writer

Ohio State 55, Indiana 38: IU has been like a gnat buzzing around the neck of the Buckeyes in recent seasons. Look for OSU to put an end to that with an offensive explosion.

Northwestern over Minnesota
Nebraska over Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Alabama over Georgia
Tennessee over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Florida
Navy over Air Force
Notre Dame over Clemson
Stanford over Arizona

Tim May, Dispatch beat writer

Ohio State 52, Indiana 24: Indiana is too good on offense to keep down all day, but the Buckeyes put up 52 the last time they played there, and they weren't this good.

Minnesota over Northwestern
Nebraska over Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Georgia over Alabama
Tennessee over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Florida
Air Force over Navy
Clemson over Notre Dame
Stanford over Arizona

Rob Oller, Dispatch sports columnist

Ohio State 46, Indiana 17: The Buckeyes offense is beginning to connect the dots, just in time for the start of Big Ten play.

Northwestern over Minnesota
Nebraska over Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Georgia over Alabama
Tennessee over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Florida
Navy over Air Force
Clemson over Notre Dame
Stanford over Arizona

Bill Rabinowitz, Dispatch beat writer

Ohio State 52, Indiana 24: It's a pair of 4-0 teams, and neither has beaten a top-25 team, but there the comparisons end. Indiana's offense figures to challenge the Buckeyes. It's doubtful that the Hoosiers can slow the Buckeyes, assuming the progress Ohio State showed last week continues.

Northwestern over Minnesota
Nebraska over at Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Georgia over Alabama
Tennessee over Arkansas
Ole Miss over Florida
Navy over Air Force
Clemson over Notre Dame
Stanford over Arizona

Ray Stein, Dispatch sports editor

Ohio State 42, Indiana 21: One of these weeks, the Buckeyes will enjoy a laugher. Until then, the chuckling will be kept to a minimum.

Minnesota over Northwestern
Nebraska over Illinois
Wisconsin over Iowa
Alabama over Georgia
Arkansas over Tennessee
Ole Miss over Florida
Navy over Air Force
Notre Dame over Clemson
Stanford over Arizona
