If the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team falls a bit short in bringing intrigue to Ohio Stadium on Saturday night, the latest installment of the seemingly unending saga of Ohio State's quarterbacks should fill the void.

J.T. Barrett is out as the starter in wake of an OVI citation last weekend. Cardale Jones is (back) in. Let's be honest: Who the Buckeyes put behind center during the first three-quarters of their season wouldn't dampen expecations of a weekly win. That's certainly the case again this week.

But it should be entertaining to watch what unfolds not only on the field Saturday but also next week, when coach Urban Meyer will have to announce -- once again -- who will be starting at QB.

This week's games:

Minnesota at Ohio State
Penn State at Northwestern
Iowa at Indiana
Michigan State at Nebraska
Notre Dame at Pittsburgh
Navy at Memphis
Duke at North Carolina
TCU at Oklahoma State
LSU at Alabama
Florida State at Clemson

This week's picks (pickers listed alphabetically and certainly not in order of importance -- or expertise):

Rob Dewolf, BuckeyeXtra editor

Ohio State 50, Minnesota 10: When celebrating a Buckeyes blowout, please do so responsibly.

Northwestern over Penn State
Iowa over Indiana
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Navy over Memphis
Duke over North Carolina
Oklahoma State over TCU
Alabama over LSU
Clemson over Florida State

Bob Hunter, Dispatch sports columnist

Ohio State 42, Minnesota 16: This isn't about J.T. or Cardale as much as it is Minnesota. Gophers overachieved against Michigan last week.

Penn State over Northwestern
Iowa over Indiana
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Memphis over Navy
North Carolina over Duke
TCU over Oklahoma State
Alabama over LSU
Clemson over Florida State

Todd Jones, Dispatch college football writer

Ohio State 38, Minnesota 20: The never-ending quarterback drama now has a chapter involving the police. J.T. Barrett's suspension, however, won't be enough to help Minnesota. The Gophers are probably spent from last week's bitter loss to Michigan.

Penn State over Northwestern
Iowa over Indiana
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Memphis over Navy
North Carolina over Duke
Oklahoma State over TCU
Alabama over LSU
Clemson over Florida State

Tim May, Dispatch beat writer

Ohio State 41, Minnesota 17: Minnesota is better than people think, but Ohio State is better still as Cardale Jones makes best of fresh start.

Penn State over Northwestern
Indiana over Iowa
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Memphis over Navy
North Carolina over Duke
Oklahoma State over TCU
Alabama over LSU
Clemson over Florida State

Rob Oller, Dispatch sports columnist

Ohio State 35, Minnesota 14: Cardale Jones doesn't run the offense as well as J.T. Barrett, but with Ohio State's stellar defense he won't have to.

Penn State over Northwestern
Iowa over Indiana
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Memphis over Navy
North Carolina over Duke
Oklahoma State over TCU
LSU over Alabama
Florida State over Clemson

Bill Rabinowitz, Dispatch beat writer

Ohio State 31, Minnesota 10: J.T. Barrett's suspension hurts, but it's not as if Cardale Jones hasn't been successful. The Buckeyes are more talented across the board than Minnesota. The Golden Gophers played inspired last week before blowing an upset chance against Michigan. Can they muster that intensity again?

Northwestern over Penn State
Iowa over Indiana
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Memphis over Navy
North Carolina over Duke
TCU over Oklahoma State
Alabama over LSU
Clemson over Florida State

Ray Stein, Dispatch sports editor

Ohio State 41, Minnesota 14: Probably doesn't make any difference who quarterbacks Ohio State this week, given Minnesota's demoralizingly brutal -- and self-inflicted -- loss to Michigan last week. That Gopher is done.

Northwestern over Penn State
Iowa over Indiana
Michigan State over Nebraska
Notre Dame over Pittsburgh
Navy over Memphis
Duke over North Carolina
TCU over Oklahoma State
Alabama over LSU
Florida State over Clemson
