This week's picks (pickers listed alphabetically and certainly not in order of importance -- or expertise):

Todd Jones, Dispatch college football writer

Ohio State 31, Wisconsin 20: Overall talent wins out again. Young Buckeyes already have shown at Oklahoma that they can handle a tough crowd. Badgers don't have enough offensive firepower.

Nebraska over Indiana
Maryland over Minnesota
Iowa over Purdue
Western Michigan over Akron
West Virgina over Texas Tech
Alabama over Tennessee
Miami over North Carolina
Stanford over Notre Dame
Arkansas over Mississippi

Tim May, Dispatch beat writer

Ohio State 31, Wisconsin 13: The Buckeyes find ways to pick the lock of the Badgers defense while throttling an offense that's probably third best of the ones they've faced so far this season.

Nebraska over Indiana
Minnesota over Maryland
Iowa over Purdue
Western Michigan over Akron
Texas Tech over West Virgina
Alabama over Tennessee
North Carolina over Miami
Stanford over Notre Dame
Mississippi over Arkansas

Rob Oller, Dispatch sports columnist

Ohio State 34, Wisconsin 14: Buckeyes enter Camp Randall a little jumpy but take full control by the time Jump Around arrives. Talent trumps hostile environment.

Indiana over Nebraska
Maryland over Minnesota
Iowa over Purdue
Western Michigan over Akron
Texas Tech over West Virginia
Alabama over Tennessee
Miami over North Carolina
Notre Dame over Stanford
Mississippi over Arkansas

Bill Rabinowitz, Dispatch beat writer

Ohio State 31, Wisconsin 21: Camp Randall will be rocking, and the Badgers defense is pretty stout. But unless Wisconsin can find a way to keep the Buckeyes from ganging up on the run with its passing game -- doubtful -- Ohio State should escape Madison.

Indiana over Nebraska
Minnesota over Maryland
Iowa over Purdue
Western Michigan over Akron
West Virgina over Texas Tech
Alabama over Tennessee
Miami over North Carolina
Stanford over Notre Dame
Mississippi over Arkansas

Ray Stein, Dispatch sports editor

Ohio State 28, Wisconsin 16: The Buckeyes have the speed to negate a stout Wisconsin defense, and their defense can handle anything the Badgers might do offensively. Then again, another slow start by OSU could flip this switch.

Indiana over Nebraska
Maryland over Minnesota
Iowa over Purdue
Western Michigan over Akron
Texas Tech over West Virginia
Alabama over Tennessee
North Carolina over Miami
Notre Dame over Stanford
Mississippi over Arkansas
