Ohio redshirt freshman Quinton Maxwell passed for 188 yards and a TD in coming on for Greg Windham, who was 9 of 17 for 103 yards.

After Maxwell's 5-yard TD pass to Troy Mangen pulled the Bobcats (4-3, 2-1) to 20-17, Antoine Porter dragged several defenders into the end zone for an 11-yard score for the Eagles (5-2, 2-1) with 3:47 left. Louie Zervos kicked a career-long 47-yard field goal to cut Ohio's deficit to 27-20 with 1:14 left.

Toledo 42, Bowling Green 35: Kareem Hunt scored on a 3-yard run with 18 seconds to play as Toledo (5-1, 2-0) rallied past visiting Bowling Green (1-6, 0-3) in the MAC. The teams packed 42 points into the game's final 15:02. Bowling Green scored consecutive TDs in the waning minutes to tie it at 35.

No. 24 Western Michigan 41, Akron 0: Jarvion Franklin rushed for a school-record 281 yards and Zach Terrell threw for two scores and ran for two as visiting Western Michigan (7-0, 2-0), ranked for the first time in school history, shut out Akron (4-3, 2-1) in the MAC.

Miami 18, Kent State 14: Gus Ragland connected with Kenny Young for the winning 55-yard TD pass with 1:34 left, and Deondre Daniels got the clinching interception four plays later to lift host Miami (1-6, 1-2) to a MAC victory over Kent State (2-5, 1-2). Young hauled in Ragland's pass near midfield, then eluded two tacklers while sprinting down the sideline for the TD.

Mount Union 45, Capital 0: Top-ranked Mount Union (6-0, 5-0) had five sacks and held host Capital (3-3, 3-2) to just 245 yards in a dominating win in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Freshman Dom Davis completed 16 of 22 passes for 326 yards and four TDs for Mount Union. Capital quarterback Thomas Wibbeler went for 15 of 32 for 181 yards.

Otterbein 45, Heidelberg 38: Logan Stepp completed 15 of 26 passes for 365 yards and three TDs, and host Otterbein (3-3, 3-2) held off visiting Heidelberg (2-4, 2-3) in an OAC game that featured 1,051 yards of offense. Hunter Joseph caught six passes for 221 yards and two TDs for Otterbein. Stepp also rushed for 112 yards. Heidelberg's Tyler Stoyle threw for 364 yards and three TDs.

Denison 24, Wittenberg 21: Conor Dunn made a 33-yard field goal with 21 seconds remaining to lift Denison (6-0, 5-0) past visiting Wittenberg (5-1, 4-1) and into first place of the North Coast Athletic Conference. Canaan Gebele completed 33 of 47 passes for 375 yards and one TD for Dension.

Ohio Wesleyan 28, Hiram 21: Dominic Orsini passed for 272 yards and three TDs without an interception, and Ross Hickenbottom had nine catches for 141 yards and two scores to lead host Ohio Wesleyan (3-3, 3-2) past Hiram (1-5, 1-4) in the NCAC.

Ohio Dominican 35, Northwood 28: Host Ohio Dominican (4-3, 4-3) used a bevy of big plays and scored all of its points in the first half to down Northwood (1-6, 1-6) in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Billy Eakins had a 92-yard interception return for a score, David Turner set a school record with a 100-yard kickoff return for a TD and Cory Contini caught a 34-yard TD pass as the Panthers built a 28-7 lead.
