A third-year who injured his shoulder and was redshirted as a freshman, Johnson earned his degree in three years and is immediately eligible to play as a graduate transfer. However, he would have two years of eligibility remaining, making him a hot commodity in the market.

Last year, Johnson averaged 11.9 points and 4.5 rebounds. He also hit 78 three-pointers. A Pennsylvania native, Johnson was listed as a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com.

Ohio State has signed two players for the class of 2017 and has two scholarships available for next year and, at present, one more for 2018. Johnson would add high-level experience to a team that went 17-15 and missed out on the postseason last year.

Brendan Quinn, who covers Michigan and Michigan State for MLive.com, talked with Johnson this morning about his interest in the Wolverines.

SECcountry.com reported that Kentucky has offered Johnson and that there is a “good chance” that he winds up signing with the Wildcats.
