8. Expect to hear a lot about these Indiana players ... Quarterback Richard Lagow returns for his senior season after passing for 3,362 yards and 19 TDs. His targets include Nick Westbrook, last year’s team leader in receiving yards, and Simmie Cobbs Jr., who returns from injury. Linebacker Tegray Scales led the Football Bowl Subdivision last season with 23.5 tackles for loss.

9. Indiana is 0-29 when playing teams ranked No. 1 or 2. Ohio State was ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press preseason poll.

10. In an era when colleges see a lot of players leaving early for the NFL draft, the Ohio State depth chart shows six fifth-year seniors in starting roles: QB J.T. Barrett, tight end Marcus Baugh, defensive end Tyquan Lewis, center Billy Price, defensive tackle Tracy Sprinkle and linebacker Chris Worley.
