*Four scholarship players are expected to make their unofficial Ohio State debuts today: graduate transfer Andrew Dakich and freshmen Musa Jallow, Kyle Young and Kaleb Wesson. Two other walk-ons could see action: Matt Lehmann and Connor Fulton.

*It will also be the unofficial debut for coach Chris Holtmann.

*Ohio State will unveil a new postgame tradition. At home games this season, the Buckeyes will join the students in the singing of “Carmen Ohio” after games. The players and coaches are expected to line up in front of the student section, behind the team benches.

*Twelve Fighting Scots hail from Ohio, including central Ohio natives Trey Miller (New Albany) and Reece Dupler (Newark).

Pregame reading:

From today’s Dispatch, senior forward Jae’Sean Tate opened up about the tragic childhood loss of mother, who was murdered when he was only 8 years old.

Also from today’s Dispatch, the Buckeyes have already learned a few things about themselves this preseason with last Sunday’s exhibition game against Xavier.

The Buckeyes are playing Wooster in large part to the urging of new assistant coach Ryan Pedon, who is an alumnus of the program.

Would you like to see the Buckeyes play a game or two at St. John Arena each season? Holtmann has already addressed the possibility.
