Karlie Cronin

A 5-foot-8 walk-on guard from Oakton, Virginia, Cronin played two games for SMU in November 2015 before transferring to Ohio State, where she appeared in seven games (two starts) for the women’s lacrosse team last spring. The three-time AAU national champion with the Fairfax Stars will provide depth at the guard position. In the Buckeyes’ exhibition wins over Ashland and Urbana, Cronin totaled one point, three rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in 19 minutes.

Savitha Jayaraman

A 6-2 forward, Jayaraman joined the Buckeyes as a walk-on this fall after being recommended to the staff by Scoonie Penn, the Ohio State men’s basketball director of player development. The Olentangy Liberty graduate helped the Patriots win Ohio Capital Conference Buckeye Division titles in 2015 and ’16, and was twice OCC honorable mention. Jayaraman, who totaled six points and two rebounds in 17 minutes in Ohio State’s two exhibition victories, projects as a depth option off the bench.
