The Ohio State men’s basketball team has climbed three spots to No. 14 in the latest Associated Press poll released Monday.

The ranking will immediately be put to the test. Wednesday night, the Buckeyes (20-5, 11-1 Big Ten) will travel to Purdue for a showdown with the No. 3-ranked Boilermakers (23-2, 12-0) in a game that could determine the Big Ten regular-season title.

This is Ohio State’s third straight week in the polls. The Buckeyes debuted at No. 13 before dropping to No. 17 after a three-point home loss to unranked Penn State. Since that game, Ohio State has beaten Indiana and Illinois.

The Buckeyes are ranked No. 14 nationally by KenPom.com and No. 20 in the RPI. In Monday’s updated NCAA Tournament projection, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has them as a No. 4 seed in the South Region, pairing them against No. 13 seed East Tennessee State in the opening game in Boise, Idaho.

Also in the Big Ten, Michigan State is ranked No. 4 and Michigan is No. 20.
