Eastern Michigan scored three runs each in the second and fourth innings and cruised to a 6-1 victory over Ohio State in the Cox Diamond Invitational in Pensacola, Florida.
OSU starter Adam Niemeyer gave up all six runs on seven hits and two walks in 3 1/3 innings. He struck out four. Luke DeVenney limited the Buckeyes (7-4) to one run on seven hits over seven innings. He struck out five and walked one for the Eagles (3-8).
Ohio State got a run in the sixth when Andrew Fishel lined a single to right to score Conner Pohl.
