The last time Asia Durr came to Columbus, she found Nationwide Arena to be quite to her liking. In a five-point overtime win against Ohio State on Nov. 12, the junior guard scored a career-high 47 points to lead Louisville in an important early-season test.
Now, she returns with some personal hardware as both a first-team All-American and the Atlantic Coast Conference’s player of the year after averaging 18.7 points per game while hitting 41.8 percent of her three-point attempts. The Cardinals have plenty of complementary pieces, but Durr is the brightest star.
“The more factor she has, the more influence she has (on the game), the better it is for me,” coach Jeff Walz said.
