The announcement comes after Smith was already named to the 2018 class of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame induction will take place in September.

Smith was a key force as a freshman on the 1992-93 Ohio State women’s basketball team, the only team in program history to reach the NCAA title game.
