Alonzo Gaffney remains a five-star recruit, but the first verbal commitment for Ohio State’s class of 2019 has dropped in the latest recruiting rankings.

Today, the 6-8, 185-pound forward from Garfield Heights, Ohio, is listed as the nation’s No. 21 overall prospect. It’s a drop of five spots for the future Buckeye, who is the second-highest ranked player to have already committed to a school.

Gaffney is one of three Ohioans in the top 150, and all of them have already committed. Pickerington Central guard Jeremiah Francis, a North Carolina commit, is No. 56 nationally, while Xenia guard Samari Curtis, a Xavier commit, is No. 145.

Francis is a four-star prospect and Curtis is a three-star prospect.
