Brian Maisonneuve, associate head coach at Indiana and a former member of Crew SC, has been named men’s soccer coach at Ohio State.

Maisonneuve was on the coaching staff at Louisville in 2008 and 2009. Before that he spent four years as an assistant coach with the U-17 national team.

He played nine seasons for the Crew (1996 to 2004) and appeared in all three World Cup matches for the United States in 1998 as well as two games at the 1996 Olympics.

He was a two-time All-American at Indiana and was named the best player in the nation in 1994.

Maisonneuve replaces John Bluem, who announced his retirement in March after 21 seasons.
