Will Voetsch fired a bogey-free 6-under-par 64 and stands in second place after the second round of the Big Ten championships at the Baltimore Country Club.

Voetsch, at 4 under, is three shots behind Cole Miller of Penn State.

The Buckeyes went into the day with a two-shot lead and carded a 10-under 271, which tied their low round of the season. But Illinois shot a 268 to take a one-shot lead over Ohio State.

Jeg Coughlin III, in a three-way tied for the lead entering the second round, posted an even-par 70 and is four shots out of the lead at 3 under.
