Ohio State has added two Mid-American Conference teams to its upcoming football schedules.

The Buckeyes will play host to Buffalo on Sept. 19, 2020, a week after they travel to play Oregon.

Ohio State will play host to Akron on Sept. 25, 2021, a week before the Buckeyes play at Nebraska.

Ohio State will face Buffalo for the second time. The Buckeyes defeated the Bulls 40-20 in the 2013 opener. The Buckeyes are 7-1 in their all-time series against Akron. They last played the Zips in 2011.

Ohio State also announced that its series against Texas will be moved to the 2025 and ’26 seasons from 2022 and ’23. The Buckeyes will play in Austin on Aug. 30, 2025, and host the Longhorns on Sept. 5, 2026.

As previously announced, Ohio State will play Notre Dame in 2022 and ’23 as its marquee nonconference opponent.
