Former Ohio State assistant football coach Zach Smith spent several hours on Tuesday meeting with the investigators for the committee probing Urban Meyer, Smith’s attorney told The Dispatch.

Bradley Koffel said that Smith answered every question asked of him. Koffel added that the lawyers conducting the interview were “thoroughly prepared and very exhaustive in their questioning of Zach.”

Koffel said that Smith reiterated everything he said in his interview with recent ESPN and other media outlets, denying that he had committed domestic abuse against his ex-wife, Courtney Smith.

Meyer is on paid administrative leave while a six-person committee leads an investigation into whether he responded appropriately to the 2015 allegations. The committee is expected to complete its work by Sunday based on the timeline in the news release announcing its formation.
