Ohio State women's basketball's 2019 recruiting class added another player Friday as Christ the King (New York) wing Kaelynn Satterfield announced her commitment to the Buckeyes through her AAU team.
The 6-foot wing is ranked No. 39 in the ESPN class of 2019 rankings and is Ohio State's fourth top-50 recruit in the 2019 class.
Satterfield joins Canton McKinley's Kierstan Bell (No. 6), Indianapolis North Central's Rikki Harris (No. 24) and Dublin Coffman's Jacy Sheldon (No. 41) in Ohio State's 2019 class. Westerville South's Anyssa Jones and Gabby Hutcherson are committed for 2020.
Satterfield's father, Kenny Satterfield, played two season in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers.
The Buckeyes are hoping to add to an already talented class with a few highly-ranked regional recruits still uncommitted. Toledo Rogers guard Zia Cooke is ranked seventh by ESPN and Detroit Edison's Rickea Jackson is ranked ninth. Aliyah Boston, the No. 3 recruit in the 2019 class, visited Ohio State in late September.
Ohio State begins its 2018-19 season Nov. 6 at Value City Arena against South Florida.
