Star of the game

J.K. Dobbins – that’s right, a running back. But it’s really a group award including Mike Weber and the offensive line, because the Buckeyes shook their running game doldrums, with Dobbins leading the way with 163 yards and three touchdowns.

Turning point

When Nebraska cut Ohio State lead to 36-31 with 2:57 left, the Buckeyes needed a clock-killing drive to end it. They turned to the running game, and Dobbins and company delivered with two straight first downs gained by rush.

A win by any means was the first goal, coming off a 49-20 loss at Purdue two weeks ago. But considering Ohio State was a 19-point favorite, it likely won’t wow the College Football Playoff committee, despite OSU overcoming three turnovers.
