Former five-star quarterback prospect Justin Fields is expected to transfer from Georgia to Ohio State, multiple sources told The Dispatch on Friday, which almost certainly signals the departure to the NFL of incumbent Dwayne Haskins Jr.
One Ohio State source said that while it was not a done deal, “It’s trending that way.”
The source said that because of NCAA rules, Fields is not on Ohio State’s campus yet because paperwork related to his transfer has not been completed, adding that that should be done by this weekend.

Fields would be the highest-ranked quarterback prospect ever to play for Ohio State, surpassing Terrelle Pryor.
