Cincinnati used a five-run second inning to take a 6-0 lead en route to a 9-5 victory over Ohio State on Wednesday at Bill Davis Stadium.

Dominic Canzone had an RBI double in a three-run third inning for the Buckeyes (16-13).

Canzone led OSU with two hits and scored in a two-run eighth inning that cut the deficit to 9-5.

David Orndorff (1-1) allowed three runs on three hits over six innings to get the win for the Bearcats (11-16). Jake Vance (2-2) took the loss for the Buckeyes, allowing six runs on two hits and five walks in 1 1/3 innings.
