Ben Christman, a four-star tackle from Richfield, committed Wednesday night to become a part of Ohio State’s 2021 recruiting class.

The Revere High School junior-to-be announced his decision on social media.

“This has been an exciting and humbling process,” Christman wrote, “and I am proud to announce that I have made my final decision. I am beyond blessed to announce that I will be joining the Brotherhood at … THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY!!!”

Christman, 6 feet 6 and 299 pounds, is the 44th-ranked prospect nationally, ninth among offensive tackles and second overall player in Ohio in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

According to 247Sports, Christman also had offers from Alabama, Florida, Cincinnati and Akron.

He is the fourth prospect committed to the 2021 class.

Later Wednesday, DeaMonte Trayanum of Akron Hoban, a four-star prospect at running back, committed to Arizona State. He also was considering Ohio State.
