Ohio State moved up a spot to No. 3 in the Associated Press poll on Sunday.
Bolstered by their 52-3 romp of Northwestern on Friday night to stay unbeaten, the Buckeyes overtook Clemson, which had previously been ranked third in the national top 25 poll. The Tigers managed a 45-14 win over Louisville on Saturday.
It is the highest ranking this season for the Buckeyes, who had previously been in a tie with Georgia at No. 3 before dropping a spot last week.
Alabama remained No. 1 in the AP poll, followed by LSU at No. 2. Six teams, all with 7-0 records, are atop the poll.
Wisconsin, which had previously been unbeaten before its dramatic loss at Illinois, took a stumble, dropping from No. 6 to No. 13. The Badgers visit Ohio State on Saturday.
The Buckeyes remained No. 4 in the coaches’ poll.
