The Big Ten announced Friday it was extending the suspension of organized team activities in all sports through May 4 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"The Big Ten Conference will continue to use this time to work with the appropriate medical experts and institutional leadership to determine next steps relative to the COVID-19 pandemic," read a statement.
"The main priority of the Big Ten Conference is to ensure the health, safety and wellness of our student-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, fans and media as we continue to monitor all developing and relevant information on the COVID-19 virus."
Organized team activities, which include the remaining Ohio State spring football practices, had previously been halted through at least April 6.
The Buckeyes held three spring practices during the first week of March before the suspension.
Teams are allotted 15 practices in the spring, which include the spring football game.
