Kierstan Bell announced Thursday night that she was transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University after playing one season of basketball at Ohio State.

Bell tweeted a drawing of herself in the Florida Gulf Coast uniform with the words “same me, new home.”

Bell said on March 25 that she was entering the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-foot-1 guard was a three-time winner of the Ms. Basketball award as the top girls high school player in Ohio.

This past season, she was the Buckeyes' second-leading scorer at 10.9 points per game and averaged 4.4 rebounds.

Bell went home to Canton in late February for what Ohio State said were personal reasons and missed two games, both losses. She returned for the final five games of the season, including four in the Big Ten tournament.

On April 14, Ohio State coach Kevin McGuff told The Dispatch: "Kierstan is a really nice kid who did a lot of nice things for us, but the general feeling was that she wanted to find a place where she was more comfortable on and off the floor."
