C.J. Hicks, a four-star athlete from Dayton, committed Friday to join the Ohio State football team’s 2022 recruiting class.

Hicks, a sophomore at Kettering Alter, is ranked as the 91st overall prospect nationally and No. 3 in Ohio.

Hicks, who’s listed at 6 feet 4 and 215 pounds, is the third commitment to the Buckeyes’ 2022 class. West Chester offensive tackle Tegra Tshabola and New Orleans cornerback Jyaire Brown committed last week.

Hicks has received 27 scholarship offers, including from Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State.

Linebackers coach Al Washington, who could be Hicks’ future position coach, is his primary recruiter with help from offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson.
