Ohio State football | Watch as Ryan Day surprises Buckeyes with Jay-Z/Beyonce tickets
Ohio State acting head coach Ryan Day put kicker Sean Nuernberger on the spot in the rain at the end of practice about 11:45 a.m. Thursday, and Nuernberger delivered.
As a video produced by OSU showed, Day announced to the team that should Nuernberger make a 39-yard field-goal attempt, there would be no meetings Thursday night. Nuernberger — after the snap by Liam McCullough and the hold by Drue Chrisman — nailed the kick and was mobbed by his fellow players.

Then Day had another surprise announcement.
“You guys are going to the concert tonight, Jay-Z and Beyonce,” Day said, referring to the event at Ohio Stadium.
Cheers erupted again, and junior college transfer cornerback Alex Badine was videotaped doing an impromptu dance routine.
“Tonight, we gone have some fun, baby,” Badine said.
The team has been been under the direction of Day since Aug. 1 when Ohio State announced it had placed Urban Meyer on paid administrative leave while it investigates allegations of domestic abuse between Zach Smith, who was fired as receivers coach last night, and his ex-wife, Courtney Smith.
The Buckeyes, who opened preseason camp Aug. 3, have been sequestered in a hotel near campus since Aug. 6.
