Ohio State-Rutgers | Tim May's Three Points

Star of the game
Quarterback Dwayne Haskins Jr. followed his stellar first start with a methodical but impressive performance against Rutgers. He was 20-of-23 passing for 233 yards, no interceptions and four touchdowns, giving him nine TD passes this season. The beauties were two rainbows to Johnnie Dixon.
Turning point
The Ohio State defense forced three-plays-and-out from the Rutgers offense on four of the Scarlet Knights’ first five possessions. Before Rutgers had gained a second first down, Haskins and company had built a 28-0 lead.
Repercussions
The prelims are over, even if the latter was the Big Ten opener. The Buckeyes head to a road game with TCU in the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium in Arlington, Texas. Coach Urban Meyer will have to watch that one, too, while Ryan Day continues to emcee the game show.
