Ohio State football: Austin Mack has surgery on foot, is out indefinitely

Receiver Austin Mack had surgery on his left foot and is out indefinitely, Ohio State confirmed Tuesday.

"That’ s a big loss," coach Urban Meyer said on the Big Ten football coaches teleconference Tuesday. "He had surgery (Monday). There’s a chance he’ll be back for the bowl game."

Mack was injured during the Buckeyes' 49-20 loss at Purdue on Saturday.

The junior from Fort Wayne, Indiana, had 26 catches for 331 yards and one touchdown in eight games this season.
