Ohio State said Friday that multi-game ticket plans that don't include all home games will be sold for the first time for football games this fall.
The school will offer three "flexible ticketing options" for sale for the upcoming season that range from $249 to $327 for three to four games. They will be available in June.
“We’ve had our fans ask for more options,” said Diana Sabau, the deputy director of athletics, “and we wanted to be able to accommodate that.”
In previous seasons, the school sold only season tickets or individual game tickets.
Sabau said the new plans were intended to offer more affordable ticket options.
Average attendance at Ohio Stadium took a dip last fall, dropping to 101,947, the lowest since 2000. The Buckeyes had drawn average crowds of 107,496 in 2017, when capacity was 104,944. The stadium capacity was reduced to 102,092 in 2018 because of construction.
The cheapest multi-game ticket plan, or the so-called “Buckeye Flex Pass,” includes four games: against Florida Atlantic, Miami (Ohio), Michigan State and Maryland.
The priciest at $327, known as the “Rush Plan,” includes three games: against Miami (Ohio), Maryland and Wisconsin.
None of the multi-game ticket plans includes the late-season matchup with Penn State.
The Buckeyes have seven home games in 2019. They play archival Michigan in Ann Arbor on Thanksgiving weekend to end the regular season.
Season tickets will be on sale on May 13 and individual game tickets will be available in July.
