Ohio State Football: Quarterback Jagger LaRoe will transfer to Buckeyes
Quarterback Jagger LaRoe, who was a preferred walk-on at Texas A&M last season, will transfer to Ohio State.
LaRoe announced he was joining the Buckeyes in a letter posted to his Twitter profile on Sunday.
“It's my privilege to join a team and program with the richest heritage in college football,” LaRoe wrote.

His arrival marked the second quarterback transfer to join the program since spring practice ended last month, following Gunnar Hoak, the native of Dublin who comes as a graduate transfer from Kentucky with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
LaRoe, as with Hoak, is expected to be immediately eligible at Ohio State. The NCAA passed new transfer rules in April that allow for walk-ons to transfer without the usual penalty of sitting out a season.
In its new release, the NCAA said the relaxed rules for walk-ons were to take effect for this fall. Walk-ons do not need to file a waiver to request immediate eligibility.
The Buckeyes will have six scholarship quarterbacks on the roster for the upcoming season, including three scholarship passers and three walk-ons. Three of the passers came into the fold in the past month, including Hoak, LaRoe and JP Andrade, a preferred walk-on from Southern California who will be a freshman in the fall.
LaRoe, who is from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, did not appear in a game for Texas A&M last season, making him eligible to receive a redshirt.
