Ohio State 31, Navy 27
Sept. 5, 2009
Who knew that the U.S. Navy would be so hard to beat? After a Midshipmen touchdown cut the Buckeyes' lead to 29-27 late in the fourth quarter, Ohio State linebacker Brian Rolle intercepted quarterback Ricky Dobbs and returned the ball 99 yards to steal the two extra points the Midshipmen needed to tie the score. Navy’s unusual run-based offense confused Ohio State and set up two surprise passing touchdowns for Dobbs. It was nearly enough to offset the Buckeyes offense, led by 204 all-purpose yards for quarterback Terrell Pryor.
