The Spartans have more of an offense this year, but the Buckeyes defense has made even more improvement. Michigan State is tough and physical on defense, but OSU has too much talent for the Spartans to contain for long.

Michigan State is the last Big Ten team to win in Columbus, but unless the weather forecast brings a hailstorm or another downpour, it isn't going to pull off another upset. The Spartans will be competitive enough, though, that Ohio State won't be prompted to remove its starters.

Every week we ask, "Will this finally be the test?" And every week the Buckeyes laugh in our general direction. MSU's defense, meanwhile, is no laughing matter. But Sparty's offense? Hahahaha. Scoring 10 is being generous.

Ohio State 35, Michigan State 13
Two stifling defenses meet for a classic and physical Big Ten showdown. The Buckeyes have showcased impressive week-to-week maturity, are the more complete team top to bottom and bring an explosive offense that’s averaging more than 50 points. Justin Fields and J.K. Dobbins shine under the lights, and we see yet again that Ryan Day’s squad is made for prime-time football.

Michigan State's defense will be able to disrupt Ohio State's offense and make Justin Fields somewhat uncomfortable. I'm curious to see how he responds if MSU can get pressure. I've been most impressed with the Buckeyes defense. If MSU is able to keep pace offensively, I'll be surprised.
