Ohio State adds four-star defensive line prospect from North Carolina

Jacolbe Cowan, a four-star defensive lineman from North Carolina, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Friday night.
He became the third defensive lineman in the recruiting class for 2020, joining Ty Hamilton of Pickerington Central and Darrion Henry of Cincinnati Princeton.

“Welcome to the family brotha,” Henry tweeted.
Cowan is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings and picked the Buckeyes over Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee and others. He is the No. 15 defensive tackle prospect in the nation and No. 165 overall prospect.
Listed at 6 feet 5 and 262 pounds, Cowan attends Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Buckeyes have 23 commitments for their class of 2020, including 14 who are ranked in the top 300 in the nation by 247Sports.
Cowan took his official visit to Ohio State in June.
