Star of the game

Running back J.K. Dobbins surpassed 100 yards for the fourth time this season, and no run was bigger than the junior’s 67-yard dash for a touchdown late in the second quarter, putting the Buckeyes ahead by two TDs.

Stat that mattered

296: Yards by Ohio State in the second quarter. The burst came after the Buckeyes gained only 16 yards in the first, and it was keyed by three plays of 30 yards or longer.

Big picture

The Buckeyes met a formidable challenge from Michigan State, which brought a physical defensive line and intercepted quarterback Justin Fields, who had not been picked off this season. But OSU made enough adjustments to bounce back and remain undefeated midway through the regular season.
