Ohio State climbed into a tie for No. 3 in the new Associated Press poll released Sunday.

Coming off a 34-10 win over Michigan State, the Buckeyes totaled 1,393 points in the poll, the same as Georgia.

The Buckeyes improved to 6-0 overall with the victory, reaching the midway point of their regular-season schedule. It is their highest ranking in any of the traditional polls this season.

Alabama remained atop the AP’s top-25 poll, followed by Clemson, which had been the preseason No. 1 team before dropping after a narrow win last week at North Carolina.

Ohio State also moved up a spot in the coaches' poll to No. 4, overtaking Oklahoma.
