Ohio State drops to No. 4 in AP poll

Ohio State is No. 4 in the Associated Press poll, dropping one spot in the latest top-25 rankings.
Though the Buckeyes were idle this weekend, they were surpassed by LSU, which rose three spots to No. 2 after its 42-28 victory over Florida in primetime on Saturday. Unbeaten Clemson also remained ahead of them, though the Tigers fell a spot to No. 3.
Alabama remained atop the poll for the third consecutive week.
Last week, Ohio State had been tied with Georgia for No. 3 before the Bulldogs lost to South Carolina, 20-17, in overtime.
The top seven teams are all 6-0 overall, including No. 6 Wisconsin and No. 7 Penn State, which are slated to visit the Buckeyes later this season. The Badgers come to Columbus on Oct. 26, followed by the Nittany Lions on Nov. 23 in their home finale.
Ohio State is also No. 4 in the coaches’ poll.
