Star of the game

Senior receiver K.J. Hill made a series of clutch plays amid Ohio State's second-half comeback, including catching three passes on a go-ahead scoring drive late in the third quarter, a series capped by his 16-yard touchdown grab. He caught another touchdown on the following drive.

Stat that mattered

13: Second-half yards, on 13 carries, for Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor. He had rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown in the first half, gashing the Buckeyes to take a lead.

Big picture

With a victory, the Buckeyes effectively clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff, but a slow start that saw them trail by two touchdowns at halftime left some doubt over whether they could hold on to the top spot in the final rankings, to be released Sunday.
