Jeff Hafley hires second Ohio State staff member to join him at Boston College

Jeff Hafley is bringing another member of Ohio State’s football program with him to Boston College.
Graduate assistant Sean Duggan has joined Hafley’s staff as linebackers coach after one season with the Buckeyes.
“After working with Sean at Ohio State, he was a guy who jumped out that if I ever landed a head job, I have to hire this guy," Hafley said in a statement. “He is smart, reliable, sees things on game day and really understands the big picture.”
The move was announced Wednesday, a day after Hafley hired Phil Matusz, one of Ohio State’s assistant strength and conditioning coaches, for the Eagles’ head strength job.
Duggan was one of the two graduate assistants involved with the Buckeyes’ defense this fall, along with Kenny Anunike. Duggan was linebackers coach at Massachusetts in 2018 and at Hawaii in 2016 and ’17.
He is a former linebacker for Boston College from 2011-14 and was a captain as a senior.
