Ohio State and Texas have agreed to flip-flop sites for their home-and-home football series in 2025 and '26.

The Buckeyes will host to the Longhorns on Aug. 30, 2025 instead of going to Austin. Ohio State will play at Texas on Sept. 12, 2026.

The switch works for both schools, according to Jerry Emig, OSU's football sports information director.

For the Buckeyes, it avoids having to play six road games in 2025. The change will result in a loaded nonconference schedule. Both Texas and Washington will come to Columbus that season. The game against the Huskies is scheduled for Sept. 13.

In 2026, the game in Austin will precede a home game Sept. 19 against Boston College, now coached by former OSU defensive co-coordinator Jeff Hafley.
