A 9-inch snowstorm on the morning of Nov. 25 turns the annual Ohio State-Michigan game into the Snow Bowl. The game becomes a kicking contest, with the Wolverines winning 9-3. With snow blinding the players, Chuck Ortmann (49) of Michigan, far left, has one of his kicks blocked by Joseph Campanella (72) ( Joe Campanella ) of Ohio State, in this Nov. 25, 1950, photo. The historic “Snow Bowl,” perhaps the most famous meeting of all for these two teams, obliterated the lines and yard markers at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Michigan didn’t have a single first down and misfired on all nine passes, yet won 9-3. Ortmann punted 24 times. This game was a classic match up between these two schools.
