Players on the Ohio State football team have been through a lot since the summer.

From an initial cancellation of the Big Ten schedule, their coach contracting COVID-19, a shortened schedule to game cancellations against Maryland, Illinois, and Michigan, the Buckeyes have overcome many challenges this season and were presented their latest challenge, a 52-24 loss to Alabama in the national title game,

"A tough night," Ohio State coach Ryan Day said told reporters after the game. "I'm proud of our team, proud of the seniors, proud of the year that we've had. But it was a tough night."

But through it all, the Buckeyes have stood together as one unit.

Hours after the team faced their latest challenge, players took to social media to thank fans and to say they will continue to fight next season.

Here's a sampling of what was said by players on Twitter. This story will be updated.
