Life is coming at Jae’Sean Tate fast — but in a good way.

On Thursday morning, the former Ohio State player was on campus inside his old practice gym as team Big X prepared for its appearance in The Basketball Tournament. On Friday evening, as Big X took the court at Capital University, Tate was dressed in a hot pink shirt and shorts and watching from the baseline.

Tate will not be participating because he said he has received an invitation to participate in camp the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder. He leaves Saturday.

The Pickerington Central graduate recently wrapped up an NBA Summer League appearance with the Denver Nuggets, where he started two games and came off the bench in two others. He spent the last season playing professionally in Belgium.

He was in attendance for the game alongside a pair of former teammates: 2018 Big Ten player of the year Keita Bates-Diop and Trevor Thompson.
