Three-star power forward Zed Key is at the Ohio State football game on his official visit, and the Buckeyes have a few familiar faces around him too.

While accompanied by his parents, Key and three other recruits on unofficial visits walked the sideline of Ohio Stadium and mingled with former men’s basketball players D’Angelo Russell, Evan Turner and Dallas Lauderdale. Current players Duane Washington Jr. and E.J. Liddell were also on hand, as were all full-time members of the coaching staff.

In addition to Key, three other Ohioans in the class of 2022 were on unofficial visits: forward Josiah Harris from Canton (Ohio) GlenOak, shooting guard Bowen Hardman from Cincinnati Princeton and point guard Sonny Johnson Jr. from Garfield Heights.

Key is the third member of the class of 2020 to take an official visit during the last two weeks. Last Saturday, four-star prospects Moses Moody and Lance Ware took their official visits to Ohio State. Moody’s mother posted photos to Twitter of the trip, including one of her son with Mike Conley Jr.

Thank you to the entire Ohio State staff, players, and families for our Amazing official visit! You guys certainly set the bar high! God bless and Go Bucks! @OhioStateHoops @ChrisHoltmann @ryanpedon @moses_moody3

Key is from Glen Head (New York) Long Island Lutheran. In the composite dateabase, he is the No. 157 recruit in the nation, the No. 5 prospect from his state and the No. 31 small forward in the country.

The Buckeyes currently have one available spot for the 2020 class and coach Chris Holtmann has said he expects to sign one player for the early signing period in November. They will host at least one official visitor during each of the next four weekends.
