Northland grad Seth Towns down to Ohio State and Duke

Seth Towns, a graduate transfer from Harvard with two years of immediate eligibility remaining, has narrowed his list of schools under consideration to Ohio State and Duke.
The development, which was first reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, was confirmed by the Dispatch.
An all-state selection as a senior and Northland’s all-time leading scorer, the 6-foot-7, 215-pound Towns was the 2017-18 Ivy League player of the year after averaging 16.0 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 44.1% from three-point range that season.
He has since missed the last two seasons due to injury.
Tuesday, Towns announced that he would be picking a college this week from a list that included Ohio State, Virginia, Kansas, Michigan, Maryland and Syracuse. The next day, national media reports indicated that Duke had entered the mix.
Thursday, ESPN rated Towns as the nation’s No. 1 option among transfers with immediate eligiblity.
The Buckeyes are currently projected to be at their maximum allotment of scholarships for next season but could be facing further roster attrition in the coming days and weeks.
